Bee dances and other behaviors
Have you ever wondered why some bees are so defensive, or how they manage to communicate the exact distance and location of the crops or flowers they need to pollinate, even in complete darkness? These behaviors, along with other sophisticated communication methods, are fundamental to food production and environmental preservation. We invite you to learn more about bee communication and behavior.

Laws and bees: the situation in Mexico
More than 20,000 species of bees and other pollinators are threatened by habitat destruction, pesticide use, and climate change. Effective protection requires strong legal frameworks. Learn about the current legal situation in Mexico regarding the protection of our key pollinators.

Bee mortality due to pesticide use
Bees fly in search of pollen and nectar in or near crops. Unfortunately, these forays into the field can be deadly due to the high risk of poisoning from the excessive use of hazardous substances in agriculture. Staying informed about highly harmful practices and substances is essential to protecting pollinators and ourselves. We invite you to learn about the ways bees can be poisoned, as well as some prevention measures and risk identification techniques.

Agriculture and pollination, from mutualism to antagonism
Bees are an emblem of Mexico's natural, historical, and economic wealth, contributing significantly to the production of the food we consume through their pollination work. These ecological services occur cooperatively (mutualistically); however, the expansion of intensive agricultural models, with high levels of deforestation and pesticide use, has negatively impacted and decimated bee populations and the benefits they provide.

Animal welfare in beekeeping
Have you ever wondered if bees feel hunger, stress, or pain? Learn about some examples of how we can improve the living conditions of honeybees, taking into account the needs of our main pollinators in food production and including them in our ethical considerations.
