The purpose of BIONTES magazine is to share information with the general public in a simple way about topics related to life sciences, health, biodiversity protection, environmental care and the use of technologies with an organic focus .
We consider it essential to encourage interest in and debate on topics not only from a technical or scientific perspective, but also from a philosophical and human one.
Type of publications
Popular science article
Articles written by experts on a topic within the life sciences, consistent with the journal's purpose and adhering to our author guidelines. They should be written in a clear, accessible style for a non-specialist audience.
Expert opinions
Free-format documents developed by a specialist in the subject matter. The writing should provide a critical perspective on the topic or present information with a novel approach.
Others
Artistic contributions such as poems, fables, illustrations, professional photographs, and infographics related to the magazine's theme are welcome. These contributions must be approved by the editorial committee before publication.
Approach
The journal accepts novel publications, as well as discoveries, perspectives, discussions, complaints or applications that have a comprehensive, organic approach or defend them.
One of our objectives is to present scientific or technical information that includes critical and self-critical perspectives on science, allowing for the sharing of ethical, philosophical, and human discussions derived from the topics addressed, and taking into account other sectors or perspectives, preferably.
Main topics
We suggest some broad themes and all their derivatives. However, it is not limited to them, provided that the ethical implications are considered and that reflections and self-criticisms derived from the topics to be addressed are made.
